Exciting redevelopment of the Nirvana Pool: Enhancing your Spa experience

We are excited to announce the upcoming redevelopment of the Nirvana Pool, one of the spa’s most cherished locations for swimming and relaxation. As the first room to open at Nirvana Spa, the Nirvana Pool has been a favourite for many of our members and guests. Over the next six months, we’ll be refreshing this beautiful corner of the spa, with plans to update the decor and reopen the café to serve a selection of food and drinks.

We know how much you value this space, and we are committed to minimising any disruption. Our aim is to enhance the pool area while preserving the tranquil environment you’ve come to love.

As part of this exciting redevelopment, we’re thrilled to introduce a trial of a new ‘Real Sunlight’ experience. Starting week commencing the 20th September, four ‘Real Sunlight’ lamps will be installed over the loungers near the entrance to the Nirvana Room. These innovative lamps replicate natural sunlight, offering a gentle and soothing light that may provide many of the same benefits as natural sunlight. Over the next three months, we will be asking for your feedback, and if successful, we plan to extend the lamps throughout the room.

Exposure to natural sunlight is widely known to have positive effects on health and wellbeing. Additionally, natural sunlight exposure is linked to the production of Vitamin D, which plays a vital role in maintaining a strong immune system and overall health. For those affected by the winter blues or Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), these lamps offer a mood boost, providing a bright and uplifting environment even during the darker months.

During the installation, there may be brief periods when the Nirvana Room needs to close for safety reasons, but we’ll ensure that any closures only happen between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., outside of peak swim times.

We’re excited to bring these improvements to your spa experience and look forward to hearing your feedback on the ‘Real Sunlight trial.’ Don’t forget to bring your sunglasses to the spa! Thank you for your continued support as we work to make the Nirvana Pool an even more relaxing and revitalising space for you to enjoy.
